Em comemoração ao Valentine's Day, celebrado na segunda-feira, 14, a Billboard elegeu as 50 melhores músicas românticas do século 21. "Love on Top", hit de Beyoncé, lidera o ranking.
O sucesso da diva faz parte do seu quarto álbum de estúdio, intitulado de "4". A canção, lançada em dezembro 2011, ganhou destaque entre os críticos e alcançou ótimas posições nos principais charts do mundo.
Segundo a Billboard, a música é um "êxtase romântico", que se sustenta por notinhas leves como o ar e trompetes que trazem um forte clima de soul. "Isso é contido apenas pelos limites de seu alcance vocal. Mas, claro, como ela demonstra em uma série de mudanças cada vez mias impressionantes no refrão ao final da música - como uma fisiculturista adicionando peso após peso extra a uma barra já sobrecarregada - isso não a restringe muito", escreveram.
